Unibet Veterans' Handicap Chase Final Preview..

Hi Reader

A very happy new year and welcome to 2026.

2025 was an "annus horribilis" for the Big Saturday Race Preview for sure. I have never had such a run of poor results in the big Saturday handicaps. The only way is back up and I will be aiming for a return to winning ways throughout 2026 🤞

To kick off 2026 we target the Veterans' Chase Final at Sandown which has passed an early morning inspection.

Big Saturday Race Preview And Tips

All our Big Saturday Race Previews & Tips are published online at https://lp.betalchemist.com/

Following the result of the race, there are made availble to the public. Too late to back the winner or change the result at that time!

Ok, let's crack on with today's preview and tips.

Honeyball Runs Three In Veterans Chase Final

The ground is unseasonably good at Sandown even with the frost covers down the past few nights.

Anthony Honeyball runs three out of the nine declared runners. The Veterans’ Chase Series and final offers up a fantastic opportunity for these “old timers” to remain in training. I am looking at Credo who has had two runs so far this season without winning. The handicapper has dropped her a couple of pounds which is a help.

Harry Cobden is back on top and has a good record with this mare. The application of the visor and tongue tie signify that she will be all out to win first prize worth £51,440 to winning connections. Amazingly for Sandown in January the ground is good which is a positive for Credo.

Sandown 3:05

1 point each way Credo 6/1 Betvictor & Betway else 11/2 generally, 3 places.

Happy New Year,

Nicky

Hi Reader Ignore the noise. Follow the racing analyst with the results. The racing world is full of talking heads who sound confident… yet somehow never show you their past performance. Nicky and BetAlchemist don’t play that game. They publish everything — and the numbers speak for themselves. At the last three Cheltenham Festivals BetAlchemist outperformed Racing Post tipsters Tom Segal, Paul Kealy, and Irish tipster Gavin Lynch. When it comes to real, measurable profit, there’s no...
