Big Saturday Race Preview And Tips

Following the result of the race, there are made availble to the public. Too late to back the winner or change the result at that time!

Ok, let's crack on with today's preview and tips.

Neon Moon To Shine in Sodexo Gold Cup

It's great to have the jumps taking over from the flat. Nothing like thirteen horses jumping fences over three miles like today at Ascot in the Sodexo Live Gold Cup.

An earlier season £100,000 premier chase to get the pulse racing for the winter jumps season.

Neon Moon finished third in this race last year off a six-pound higher handicap mark. He goes well fresh having won on his first runs over the past two seasons. The less rain they get at Ascot the better Neon Moon’s chance, as we know he loves good ground and jumps well. I find that horses who race prominently like Neon Moon get into good jumping rhythms around Ascot which is a major positive.

The Changing Man ran some massive races last season and is a worthy favourite. However, I feel this race is more a prep race for the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury at the end of the month. He should run well but might find a couple too strong at the finish.

Ascot 3:45

0.5 point each way Neon Moon 8/1 generally, 4 places

Best of Luck,

Nicky
