A super weekend of racing with classy action at Musselburgh, Sandown and Leopardstown.

Last Saturday was tough with Forward Plan tanking along, only to take a fatal fall four out! Hard on connections, as he was super handicap chaser to own. Let's hope for better luck today!

A choice of competitive handicaps to target today and I have chosen to go to Musselburgh.

The Scottish Champion Chase is a handicap chase with 12 runners declared.

A competitive race as you would expect with a £51,440 first prize up for grabs!

Sir Psycho has been well backed following his encouraging run at Ffos Las. He travelled and jumped well that day over a trip too short finding one too good. It was an encouraging run and ideal prep run for this valuable race.

Last season he finished a next second to Heltenham at Newbury over 2m4f when rated a pound lower. Paul O’Brien knows the horse well and he gets in here off a lovely weight of 10-13.

The Kalooki Kid is short for such an inexperienced chaser. He is unexposed however has stamina questions to answer. A trappy race with several in with winning chances if getting into a good jumping rhythm.
