Hi Reader

I'm taking aim the Greatwood Gold Cup at Newbury with 16 declared for the premier handicap chase.

Fingers crossed we hit the back of the net with only one more weekend before the Cheltenham Festival!

Ok, let's crack on with today's preview and tips.

Billy the real deal in Greatwood Gold Cup

Back this fluent jumping novice chaser to progress in the Betvictor Greatwood Gold Cup.

Billytherealbigred ran a cracker to finish second behind Jagwar at the Cheltenham trials day meeting. That was in a novice handicap chase over 2m4.5f on the new course. He jumped well that day and stayed the trip strongly. The handicapper has upped him 3lbs which is negated by the booking of 3lb claimer, Toby Wynne.

It’s an open handicap but I like that his novice has lots of upside on only his fourth run over fences. He loves soft ground which is a positive and Newbury is a proper jumping test which hopefully he will enjoy and place pressure on the oppositions jumping. He jumps to his left so Newbury is fine and off a low weight of 10-5 he should be competitive in this valuable premier handicap chase.

Newbury 3:45

0.5 point each way Billytherealbigred 9/2 Paddy Power & Betfair SB else 4/1 Bet365, Skybet, Betvictor & Unibet, all paying 5 places.

Best of Luck,

Nicky

Hi Reader We switch to the flat for the Lincoln Heritage Handicap at Doncaster today. Next weekend it's the Aintree Grand National! Crazierthandaisy was a late non-runner last Saturday. It left a gap and best going forward to select two runners against the field in the big race on Saturdays. Big Saturday Race Preview And Tips

Hi Reader The Cheltenham Festival is done and dusted (another profitable one). We swiftly move onto the Midlands Grand National. It's hard to believe that the flat returns on Sunday with the Irish Lincolnshire at the Curragh racecourse! This Saturday, we take aim at the Midlands Grand National which has attracted a field of 17 runners. Hopefully, we enjoy better luck as Wreckless Eric was a very unlucky loser in the Imperial Cup last weekend at Sandown. Big Saturday Race Preview And Tips All...
